Web3 PH Panimula kicks off
Christopher Star, the Lead Volunteer of Web3 PH Panimula: Kasaysayan at Kinabukasan, highlighted the beginnings and introductions of digital innovation, framing it as a pivotal moment in the nation’s journey into the digital age, held last January 26, 2024 at Emilia’s House of Filipino Food, Malacañang compound.
The event was attended by professionals in the blockchain industry, startup founders, and academic representatives, making it a significant convergence of key players in the rapidly evolving landscape of Web3 technology.
“When we set aside our differences, we make history,” Star mentioned.
He also emphasized that the event served as a call to gather and unite, stating that he urged attendees to recognize the innovative path that the Philippines should embark upon, welcoming a new chapter of collaboration.
Attendees received a significant boost with the presence of Director Emmy Lou Versoza-Delfin from the ICT Industry Development Bureau of the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
Director Versoza-Delfin showcased the full support of the government in the nation’s digital transformation, expressing the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors.
Bianca Cruz-Acurin, Founder & CEO of 10XME Academy, also took the opportunity to accentuate the role of women in the blockchain and Web3 industry.
She expressed her gratitude to the organizers for actively inviting and involving women in the event, emphasizing the importance of diversity in driving innovation and progress.
The activity culminated with networking, providing attendees with a platform to connect, share ideas, and forge collaborations.
